Deep in the Wood

Fantasy female sphinx with glasses reading book while holding a mug

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right of me, stuck in the riddle with you 🙂

From my home deep in the wood.

With teeth that don’t devour food,

Around me metal steadily spins.

I wait alone; trapped within,

When an arrow points up to the sky

All night and day those times I fly.

Alone I’m trapped up on the wall.

Tail swings beneath; I wait to call.

I then pounce out to scream and yell

And swiftly dive back in my shell.
