Aslam’s Plight pt 13 – The Art of the Deal

I stared at the wolf-man in his human form and was in disbelief  at his attitude towards us. The nerve of that creature to say we better release him or suffer his wrath and if we do release him he will make sure to make us pay.

I had to ask him, what is the advantage of letting you go? If you plan to make us pay, why not just kill you. That gave the creature pause, and I reminded it that we best the creature in combat.

A deal was struck, he would not engage us anymore unless order by Strahd to do so. Otherwise the creature would look the other way.

Let me say it again I hate this place.

Much time has passed since we engage Strahd and saw him disappear in fear from our combine might. I know when the final battle happens I will make sure Strahd is indeed dead permanently. No one should ever have to suffer.

I fear that there will be many more deals in the foreseeable future. I must make sure to use extreme caution when making such deals.

I manage to snag two quiver full of arrows for our next trek deeper into this land. I keep getting the nagging feeling that we must soon gather our allies and convince them that now is the time to strike. Convincing them may be more of a challenge than I thought.

I refuse to die in this land.
